She is a Wheaton College student, and grew up in Germany, where her parents, Tim & Lyn Newbrander, served on the team in Berlin with World Witness missionaries. She was very active in the Philip Church in Berlin, teaching Sunday School, leading youth Bible Studies and Discipleship classes, and with the Annual Family Festival event. She believes that God is calling her to medical missions, and feels that this internship will help confirm that calling.
