Missions Advocates

Building a Lasting Missions Culture

Each new generation must understand, embrace, and take ownership of a culture of missions - otherwise, it risks being lost.

We recognize that meaningful culture change takes time. It grows from within and must be nurtured at every level of the church, from children to adults.

In partnership with World Witness, our church-appointed missions advocates are helping to strengthen this culture by keeping the work of our missionaries and their ministries consistently before their congregations. At the same time, they encourage purposeful goal setting within missions committees, focusing on three key priorities:

Inform - Raising awareness of the needs and opportunities in global missions
Engage - Inviting churches to actively participate in mission work
Mobilize - Encouraging churches to send and support missionaries

Connecting and Equipping Advocates

Our missions advocates stay connected and encouraged through Zoom gatherings where they share ideas, exchange resources, and support one another. These monthly meetings, along with an annual retreat, provide meaningful opportunities for collaboration, growth, and renewed vision.

For more information or to sign up to be an advocate, please contact Heiko Burklin [email protected].
