Chris van Dalen grew up on the mission field in Pakistan, the son of Frank and Emily van Dalen, World Witness missionaries, and later earned his undergraduate degree and MBA from the University of SC, followed by an M.Div. from Erskine Seminary in 2026. He has studied and worked in various countries, primarily in the Middle East, and served for five years on staff at Devenger Road Presbyterian Church in Greenville, SC. Steph van Dalen, originally from Lancaster, PA, earned her undergraduate degree from Messiah University and an M.A. in Global Studies from Columbia International University. She has studied and worked across Europe, South America, Africa, and the Middle East, along with more than eight years of experience in global HR. Together, they have spent nearly a decade serving the global church in a variety of contexts.

In Kaunas, Lithuania, Chris will pastor the international congregation of the Evangelical Reformed Church, while Steph will serve through hospitality ministry, teaching women’s Bible studies, and providing biblical lay counseling. They look forward to pursuing community outreach and partnering with and training local church leaders. Chris and Steph have been married since 2017 and have three children.
